MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

A management information system (MIS) is a computerized database of financial information organized and programmed in such a way that it produces regular reports on operations for every level of management in a company. It is usually also possible to obtain special reports from the system easily. The main purpose of the MIS is to give managers feedback about their own performance; top management can monitor the company as a whole. Information displayed by the MIS typically shows "actual" data over against "planned" results and results from a year before; thus it measures progress against goals.

On Hair Styles D.C we are going to use a database with Microsoft Access , this in order to keep a check on the performance of employees . First we will be entering the system all information about employees and their working hours with its respective performances . We will also be adding external factors such as political and financial for better decision making from the company and finally adding information about our customers, their needs, wants, satisfaction, previous services chosen in order to maintain control over their constantly needs and delight the customer.

We are using Microsoft access in order to protect our employee’s information and our organization Information and use it only for business purposes , protecting employee information , customer intelligence and company´s decisions

Our data base is going to include:

1- Employee Information

2- Information about our customers

3- Information from our organization

4- Our organization policies

5- Customer intelligence and its profiles.

6- Possible information collected from the external audit with forecasting and controlling.
